We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and experienced in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical components and control systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation in compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure adherence to electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operational goals.
- Assist in planning and executing electrical projects to enhance energy efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability.
- NFPA 70E and an Electric Apprenticeship or State Issued License
- Certificate, diploma, or apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electrician, or a related field.
- Licensed or certified electrician (e.g., Red Seal, Journeyperson) preferred, depending on the region.
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and control circuits.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
