Seeking an Experienced Chemical Processing Operator - 1+ Year in Chemical Manufacturing Required

Staffmark is hiring an Experienced Chemical Processing Operator for a leading chemical manufacturing facility in Vandalia. This is not an entry-level role. To be considered, you must have at least one year of hands-on experience working with chemicals in a manufacturing or production setting-including mixing, weighing, and processing per detailed procedures.

If you've worked with industrial chemicals and have a strong understanding of chemical reactions, measurement, and safety practices, we want to talk to you.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay: $23 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle, measure, and mix chemicals following precise formulations and procedures
• Monitor and control chemical reactions-adjusting temperature, pressure, and flow as needed
• Execute purification processes and track product quality and yield
• Follow detailed batch records, SDS, and SOPs to ensure safety and consistency
• Log data, sample batches, and utilize tools such as SAP for production tracking
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and inspect equipment for proper function

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; degree or coursework in chemistry a plus
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chemical Processing Operator required
• Working knowledge of chemical reactions, handling, and purification techniques
• Ability to perform basic chemical calculations, measurements, and conversions
• Experience operating pumps, stirrers, dryers, ovens, and other chemical production equipment
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
