Delivery Driver

Parts Authority, founded in 1973 and headquartered in Long Island, New York, is rapidly expanding with over 300 locations across the United States. We are hiring Delivery Drivers for our most successful, rapidly expanding Division. As a Delivery Driver you will serve as a company representative, interacting with customers daily and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of automotive parts.

• Pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Take direction from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, and use navigation apps as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with customer operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints professionally.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports, and reconcile financial transactions related to deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and notify manager of issues.
• Assist with store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets.

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers 21 years old or over).
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs).
• Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
• Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking and customer interface/signature capture.
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule with overtime availability (preferred).
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
• Must meet all above minimum requirements to be eligible.

Compensation – USD $17.13 / hour.
