About the role
- As an Associate Software Developer - Full Stack, you will be a crucial member of a tightly knit, U.S. based development team that adds new capabilities and features to enterprise grade SaaS (software-as-a-service) web applications while architecting and designing the future. You will be a problem solver, finding effective ways to make the frontend and backend deliver on the specific needs of our clients.
You'll develop web applications with excellent usability, smooth responsive user design that works on desktop, pad, and mobile devices, and performant backend microservices that are reliable, resilient, and scalable. Data Science and database architecture are also part of your story. As a Data Wizard, you'll extend your technical reach while providing ways to visualize and leverage data, crafting schema and backend microservices to provide everything that’s desired.
Senior software developers will help to guide your efforts and speed your movement forward in your skills and abilities. Because CRISALIS is a small, growing company, you’ll find that we have no silos. You won’t be stuck in a tiny corner of a massive project. Instead, you’ll get to understand how the entire system works and directly contribute, making our products, development processes, architecture and design philosophy better. - This role is based in the United States, with the expectation that you’ll work a typical Monday-Friday workweek and have work hours that have a high overlap with members of the team that are located on the West Coast and Central U.S.
What you’ll do
- Customize existing web applications for clients, providing those unique features and capabilities that they require above our base functionality.
- Investigate and resolve issues with usability and functionality that come to light as clients do the unexpected and our internal Quality Assurance Analysts employ ever more rigorous testing strategies.
- Endeavor to always remain compliant with our standard operating procedures and ethical standards. We are intent on complying with SOC 2, IS27001, and GxP and you will be a key part of this effort.
- Uphold information security and data integrity both in what you do and in what you deliver.
- Collaborate with business analyst, quality assurance analysts, test engineers, and software developers to design, code, test, debug, and support new software projects to meet defined business needs and product offerings.
- Create proof of concepts solving technical challenges on both the frontend and backend.
- Learn and document new technologies, explain their benefits, and apply them to existing applications where applicable.
- Be proactive in making suggestions that improve the user experience and the backend microservices that must be reliable, robust, performant, and have exceptional data integrity.
- Participate and contribute to development, and deployment to quality assurance environments
- Perform code reviews, merge, and resolve conflicts.
- Be a productive member of the team with minimal supervision.
