Job DescriptionThe Talent Development Specialist delivers training that prepares staff to provide safe, person‑centered support. Primary trainer for the Vancouver office, leading new hires, mandatory trainings, certifications, and compliance. Collaborates with other offices, communicates training needs, supports regional locations, and participates in multi‑state virtual sessions. Mostly in‑person training, some virtual facilitation and administrative coordination.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Lead in‑person and virtual onboarding and required trainings to ensure staff confidence.
- Conduct state‑mandated, organizational, and recertification trainings via Zoom, Teams, Go To Meeting .
- Maintain effective classroom management both in person and virtually.
- Track attendance, certifications, competency testing, and required documentation for compliance.
- Set up and troubleshoot training technology (projectors, microphones, presentations, virtual platforms).
- Communicate with staff and leadership about training needs while supporting Washington locations and participating in multi‑state virtual sessions.
- Role 80% facilitation, 10% administrative, 10% support. About 95% in‑person, 5% virtual, average 10‑15 people per session.
MUST HAVE
- Education and
Work Experience:
Associate degree in health or human services with six months of caregiving experience within last five years or high school diploma with one year of caregiving experience within last five years. - Age Requirement: At least 21 years old.
- Physical Requirements: Demonstrate physical coordination, maintain balance while moving, push/pull, kneel, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Zoom, Teams, or Go To Meeting .
- Learning Management Systems (Relias or Workday Learning).
- Compliance training background.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Large group facilitation (up to 50 participants).
- Virtual training experience.

Lead engaging online trainings for diverse audiences across multiple states. - Communication & Interpersonal Abilities: Convey information, build rapport, maintain positive relationships at all levels.

- Collaboration & Teamwork: Partner with trainers and departments for consistent, high‑quality experiences.

- Technical Confidence: Comfortable with learning platforms and virtual meeting technology; troubleshoot basic issues.
- Emotional Intelligence: Compose, patience, empathy across learning styles.
