HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Licensed HVAC Service Technician (O6A/O6B) for our client in Vancouver, WA. This position supports operations within the commercial, industrial, and residential HVAC service industry. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with the following: HVAC diagnostics, commercial refrigeration systems, electrical troubleshooting, EPA‑certified refrigerant handling, and advanced service repair.
Pay & SchedulePay: $30–$45+/hour DOE
Shift: Tuesday–Friday, four 10‑hour shifts; no on‑call work
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Perform advanced system diagnostics using schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant‑related issues
- Repair HVAC units, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related components
- Complete preventative maintenance and service calls efficiently and accurately
- Document diagnostics, repairs, materials used, and service recommendations
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and internal teams
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and applicable mechanical and electrical codes
- Active O6A and/or O6B HVAC license (required)
- EPA refrigerant certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in commercial HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems
- Experience with controls, VFDs, or building automation systems (BAS)
- Experience training or mentoring junior technicians
- Background servicing both HVAC and refrigeration equipment in field environments

Work Environment
This is a field-based role supporting commercial and industrial job sites. Work may include rooftop access, ladders, lifts, confined mechanical rooms, and exposure to varying weather conditions. Technicians must be comfortable working independently in customer‑facing environments while following strict safety protocols and wearing required PPE at all times.
