About ERSM: ERSM restores habitats and improves stormwater infrastructure throughout Oregon and Washington. Our projects range from native planting and invasive species control, to habitat restoration, erosion control installation, environmental permitting, hydroseeding, and long‑term stormwater system management.
Position:
Erosion Control Technician (Seasonal with possibility to become full‑time based on workload and performance). We’re seeking an Erosion Control Technician to support active construction sites and restoration projects throughout the region. This is a hands‑on, outdoor position focused on installing and maintaining erosion and sediment control systems. There is potential for this role to become a long‑term position based on performance and project needs.
- Install wattles, silt fence, and sediment control systems
- Install catch basin inserts and inlet protection
- Install straw blankets, coir matting, and slope stabilization products
- Apply hydroseed and assist with seed bed preparation
- Perform erosion control maintenance and repairs as needed
- Ensure installations meet site plans and regulatory standards
- Operate trucks, trailers, hydroseeders, trenchers, and hand tools
- Load and transport materials safely
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic upkeep
- Work under the guidance of field leads and project managers
- Follow site‑specific safety plans and environmental compliance standards
- Contribute to a safe, efficient, and solutions‑oriented crew culture
- Experience with erosion control installation preferred (training available for motivated candidates)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting 50+ lbs, working on slopes, repetitive tasks)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
