Maintenance Technician – Vancouver, WA About the role

In this role, you will perform general preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repair of commercial HVAC equipment, buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds within our Global Tech clients' commercial site. Working under close supervision, the technician assists in monitoring building system operations and performance. This versatile role requires the application of several fundamental trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and heating and cooling system maintenance.

What

you’ll do
  • Perform assigned day‑to‑day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Order vital materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
  • Assist with solving and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include plumbing systems, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
  • Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training. 1–3 years of Refrigeration/HVAC maintenance experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co‑workers, and/or the supervisor.
  • Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short‑term impact to co‑workers and supervisor.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $51,300 annually and the maximum salary is $54,000 annually. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
