Garden Center Cashier - Indoor​/Gift Shop

This is a part-time position with availability Friday-Monday required.

• Provide excellent, friendly customer service to all customers.
• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Strong skills in cash handling, including counting and balancing till, and reconciling cash drawers.
• Answer and direct phone calls professionally.
• Assist customers and coworkers by providing resources and facilitating sales.
• Operate and troubleshoot POS system and inventory database.
• Arrange deliveries and ensure timely coordination.
• Care for plant inventory, including watering, pruning, pest control, fertilizing, etc.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.

• 6+ months of cashier experience in retail or service industry.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of indoorplants and garden center merchandise such as pottery, decor, and gifts.
• Punctual and prepared for work each day.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Able to walk, bend, stoop, and stand for the entire shift.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• This position requires open availability Friday through Monday.

• Variable schedule with 10-40 hours of work per week, peak hours in Spring.
• Hours of operation 9am-6pm, 7 days a week.
• This position is based out of our Vancouver, WA garden center.

• $17-18 per hour, dependent upon experience.
