Position Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
Department: Quality
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
Wage Range: $24-$30
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the Quality Department by coordinating and monitoring quality action items, maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role facilitates corrective, preventive, supplier, complaint, and audit follow‑up actions, analyzes quality data to identify trends and root causes, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. The position also supports ESD calibration activities, manages material certifications and AS9102 reports, and maintains accurate quality records while adhering to safety, ESD, ITAR, and confidentiality requirements.
PrincipalAccountabilities
- Actions Coordination:
- Manage and assign action items outside of the CAPA process
- Facilitator of the action items and CAPA meetings for the CAPA and action‑item owners on a regular basis
- Assist Quality Manager in assigning, monitoring, and verifying Corrective, Preventive, Supplier, Complaint and Audit Follow‑up Actions (referred to as Actions)
- Participate with stakeholders to develop potential actions and implementation
- Compile and analyze measurements related to Corrective, Preventive, Supplier, Complaints and Audit Follow‑up Actions to identify root causes, trends, monitor QMS goals and improvement opportunities
- ESD protective systems calibrations
- Manage material certifications and AS9102 reports
- Maintain quality system documentation
- Maintain a variety of data by entering new and updated information
- Technical writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Be a role model by following and re‑reinforcing safety, ESD, ITAR & QMS protocols
- Maintain confidentiality
- Contribute to continuous process improvement
- Pursue relentless reduction of waste
- Other duties as assigned
- Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- Flexible and dependable
- Ability to work in a team
- 1 year of data entry experience or related office experience
