Neurology Veterinary Assistant

Shift: Monday‑Thursday (8 a.m.–5:30 p.m.)

In neurology you can expect to handle a variety of cases and run CT or MRI scans, as well as be involved in advanced neurological treatments and procedures. The role relies heavily on teamwork, compassion, and a focus on excellent patient care.

• Assist in surgical procedures
• Client communications, scheduling, and education over the phone and face‑to‑face
• Manage appointments, obtain histories and updated patient information
• Accurate and thorough documentation of medical records
• Assist with spinal and joint tap procedures, and perform venipuncture

• Prior veterinary experience required; previous neurology experience desired
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment

This position has an initial hiring range of $20.75 to $31.00 per hour based on skill set and experience. We support our weekend and overnight caregivers with lucrative shift differentials:

• Hours worked between 8 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. = base pay + $2 per hour
• Hours worked between 12 a.m. and 7:59 a.m. = base pay + $3 per hour
• Hours worked on weekends (day or night) = base pay + $1 per hour + any applicable differential
