About This Role

Do you have a passion for dentistry? Are you looking for a clinic that can provide work-life balance? Look no further! Join our veterinary hospital as a Veterinary Assistant and become an integral part of our animal healthcare team. In this hands-on role, you'll provide compassionate care for our patients while gaining valuable experience in veterinary medicine.

What Success Looks Like
  • Compassionate Care Provider:
    Conducts physical exams, administers treatments, and performs diagnostic procedures, including collecting samples and running in-house lab tests. Assists veterinarians with surgeries, monitors anesthesia, and ensures proper patient recovery under supervision.
  • Medical Support Expert:
    Assist the veterinary team with dental care, preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and maintaining accurate records of treatment provided. Handles and restrains patients safely, focusing on minimizing stress.
  • Hospital Caretaker:
    Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hospital, ensuring a safe, sanitary environment for patients, clients, and team members.
  • Communication Liaison:
    Relay important patient updates to veterinarians and fellow team members, helping maintain continuity of care.
  • Client Educator:
    Under veterinarian guidance, communicate with pet owners about care, medications, and home treatment plans, providing clear instructions with empathy and professionalism.

  • Adaptability and willingness to assist in various hospital areas as needed
Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Confidence monitoring anesthesia during procedures
  • Experience with dentistry is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Associate degree in veterinary technology or continuing education in veterinary science is a plus
