Aboutthe Role
As a CVICU RN at Peace Health, you'll deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients. This unit focuses on Cardiovascular, Trauma and Surgical ICU patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs, ensure accurate documentation, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. This is a Full-time (0.90 FTE) Night shift position and represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

- Provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Accurately document patient care in the healthcare record.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members.
- Continuously pursue professional development and education.
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Management of ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP.
- Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH, seizures.
- Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid artery stenting and intra-cranial stenting.
- Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents.
- Completion of complex neurological assessments/scales.
- Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 36 months) continuous critical care RN experience. - Credentials:
Registered Nurse - Washington or MSL, BLS and ACLS at hire, NIHSS Certification (within 6 months of hire), CCRN Certification (Preferred) - Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development, ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships, ability to support medical center philosophy and procedures, basic computer skills.
