JOB SUMMARY

The Nurse Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, directing, and controlling all activities and personnel for 24-hour nursing operations on a nursing unit(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education:
  
  Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. BSN required or actively enrolled in coursework to obtain within three years.
• Experience/Training:
  Minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience preferred. Work experience demonstrating progressive leadership responsibility, e.g., in Charge Nurse or supervisory role. Demonstrates competence in area of expertise.
• License/Certification:
  Current Registered Nurse licensure in the practicing state. Certification in clinical area and membership in related professional organization preferred. Current BLS certification required S may be required.
• Other
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in computer use, including MS Office. Financial and budgetary knowledge and experience.

Skills and Certifications

• I have my BSN.
• I have my ADN and am actively enrolled in a BSN program.
• I have my ADN and am willing to enroll in a BSN program to complete within 3 years of hire.
• I have ICU leadership experience.
• I hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Would like someone with ICU experience in a unit with 20 or more beds.
