Position: Interim Nurse Supervisor, Care at Home

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Assistant Nurse Supervisor, Care at Home
, for a W2 Contract position based in Tustin, CA.

Schedule: Full time, Day shift, Monday through Friday, 5 8's – 8am – 5pm

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending

Compensation: This position offers a daily rate of $635 to $650 which equates to $3,175 to $3,250 per week (based on a 5‑day workweek).

Per Diems: Lodging: $191 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $86 per day. Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,939 per week.

Auto Stipend: $25 per day. Stipend is paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $175 per week.

Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems + Stipend): Between $5,289 to $5,364 per week.

Summary

Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient resource management. This includes supervising staff, implementing best practices, and coordinating patient care delivery.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee the work of nurses and other healthcare professionals, including scheduling, performance management, and providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure patient care is delivered according to established standards, protocols, and best practices, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the efficient allocation and utilization of resources such as staffing, supplies, and equipment within the home health unit.
  • Facilitate coordination of patient care activities, including admissions, discharges, and transfers, to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, departments, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and patient-centered care.
  • Assist in the implementation and adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and regulations within the home health unit.
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing training of new staff members and ensure staff competency.
Qualifications
  • BSN or BA in a healthcare-related field required;
    Master’s preferred. Experience in lieu of the degree will be considered.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical experience in home health or related area, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and manage staff, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
