About the ProgramFriends of Trees inspires people to improve the world around them through a simple solution:
Planting Trees. Together.
As a tree-planting volunteer, you’ll contribute to creating cleaner air and water in your community, as well as improving wildlife habitat, and increasing a whole host of other benefits that trees provide!
About the ProjectLet’s plant trees together in Westside Vancouver!
The meeting location is Vancouver First United Methodist Church, 401 E 33rd St, Vancouver, WA 98663.
Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun! Groups, families, and individuals welcome!

- Age: Volunteers must be 6+; under 16 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
- Under age 18? We request that youth 15 and under volunteer with a parent/guardian. Youth 16 and older can volunteer on their own and will need to hand us a youth waiver form (
friendsoftrees.org/youthwaiver
) signed by their parent/guardian.
Referral Opportunity: This opportunity is run directly by one of our nonprofit partners. After you express interest, the partner will contact you with next steps and confirmation details.
