Base pay: $82,000 - $91,000 annual salary

About the RoleWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on SMT operations, production support, and process improvement. This role works cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Program Management to support new product introductions, sustain production, and drive continuous improvement.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on manufacturing support with longer-term process optimization projects, and who is comfortable teaching, influencing, and collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Provide daily production support and technical guidance to operators and technicians
- Support SMT manufacturing operations, including equipment troubleshooting, validation, and process optimization
- Coordinate and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process reviews, risk assessments, and controls
- Create, review, and approve manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and control plans
- Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and assess product and process impacts
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
- Support CAPA activities, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Perform assessments and disposition of nonconforming materials
- Performs equipment planning, installation, qualification, and capacity planning
- Interface with suppliers and equipment vendors for troubleshooting and corrective actions
- Analyze production data to support efficiency, cost, and quality improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 1–5 years of relevant manufacturing or process engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in SMT / electronics manufacturing strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IPC standards, J-STD requirements, and manufacturing quality systems
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt training a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed
- Confident communicator who can influence without authority
- Patient, collaborative, and comfortable teaching others
- Proactive and self-directed with strong time-management skills
