SMT Quality Specialist Job Description

Join our team as an SMT Quality Specialist where you will operate and maintain SMT equipment including Juki Pick & Place machines, Reflow Ovens, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems, and Wash Machines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products by setting up and tearing down machines, loading feeders with electronic components, and performing inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Operate SMT equipment including Juki Pick & Place machines, Reflow Ovens, AOI systems, and Wash Machines.
  • Set up and teardown SMT machines according to detailed work instructions.
  • Load feeders with electronic components according to setup sheets.
  • Verify components and follow production documentation.
  • Make minor machine adjustments and clear machine jams as needed.
  • Position PCBs on machine fixtures and monitor machine operation.
  • Perform visual inspection of assembled boards for quality issues.
  • Complete production records and batch logs accurately.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in assembly, production line, or manufacturing.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to stand during the majority of the shift.
  • Experience in electronic assembly and use of hand tools.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong vision and hand-eye coordination.

Pay and Benefits

The pay rate for this position is $19.00 – $19.00/hr.
