Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)
Our client is seeking a highly capable Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, safety, and performance of a high‑volume manufacturing operation built around automated equipment, precision processes, and continuous production. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on troubleshooting, working across multiple technical disciplines, and taking ownership of keeping critical production systems running smoothly in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
This role is onsite in Vancouver, Washington.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of production, packaging, and material‑handling equipment to ensure safe, consistent operations.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic control‑system issues across automated and semi‑automated machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance and address developing issues before they impact output, quality, or safety.
- Support equipment used in processing, staging, storage, and internal material flow throughout the facility.
- Respond to urgent breakdowns and unplanned maintenance events to quickly restore production.
- Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance documentation in alignment with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track labor, parts, schedules, and maintenance history.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, line changes, and reliability or efficiency improvement projects.
- Perform routine safety inspections and correct equipment‑related hazards or risks.
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and operations teams to support daily manufacturing needs.
- Provide hands‑on technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians when needed.
- Contribute to continuous‑improvement, uptime, and cost‑control initiatives across the maintenance function.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or regulated production environment.
- Strong background working with automated or high‑speed production and packaging equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic control‑system issues.
- Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance on complex equipment.
- Familiarity with safety, quality, and compliance standards in regulated or process‑driven environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Experience using a CMMS or similar system to manage work orders, assets, and parts.
- Comfortable operating material‑handling or access equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
- Fabrication, welding, or mechanical modification experience is a plus.
- Exposure to automation, sensors, PLC‑adjacent systems, or industrial controls is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety, documentation, and equipment reliability.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with production, engineering, and vendor partners.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
$30-$39/hr. (DOE)
