GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONCMM programmer 3 uses precision measurement tools to create inspection programs for coordinate‑measuring machines. This role observes, creates, and reports, using custom‑written programs to generate inspection data for manufacturing, engineering, and quality. In addition to performing calibration and maintenance they will also use calipers and micrometers to ensure product meet specifications and may be cross‑trained on other inspection processes.
REQUIREMENTS- 3‑6 years recent experience CMM programming
- HS Diploma required, AA and technical CMM training preferred in DMIS and SPC
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Ability to read, write and understand directions in English.
- Vision required in the job includes close vision and reading a computer screen and digital tools. 20/20 corrected.
- Familiarity with GD&T symbols and ability to read blueprints
- Intermediate math skills
- Ability to train others (CMM, measurement tools, GDT, Blueprints, SAP, etc.)
- Eligible to work in an ITAR environment
