Furnace Technician

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for aFurnace Technician 3 role in Vancouver. • Independently operate, monitor, and maintain multiple furnaces with a high level of technical expertise.

• Troubleshoot complex furnace issues and perform advanced diagnostics and repairs.

• Lead or support engineering-led projects aimed at improving thermal processing and production efficiency.

• Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve product quality.

• Train and mentor lower-level technicians on furnace operation, safety, and best practices.

• Interpret production priorities, work orders, and technical specifications to meet production goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce bottlenecks and improve workflow.

• Conduct light to moderate maintenance on thermal processing equipment and related systems.

• Operate additional production equipment such as powder compacting presses, sand blasters, and precision scales.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training or certification preferred.

• 5+ years of experience operating industrial furnaces or related thermal processing equipment.

• Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical and process issues.

• Strong understanding of machining processes and production environments.

• Experience working on cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines.

• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods in a manufacturing setting.

• Willingness to work swing shifts and overtime as needed.
