Job DescriptionPeace Health is seeking a Director Facilities Support Services for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at Peace Health is $66.08 – $99.12. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the areas of Facilities Maintenance & Engineering, Security, Environment of Care, and Facility capital planning. Ensure facilities in the network are compliant with state and federal regulations and provide a safe environment for patients, families and caregivers.
- Plan, organize and direct the efficient utilization of facilities management resources, staff, facilities and equipment in support of Peace Health’s mission.
- Maintenance planning: oversee facility and equipment maintenance for all healthcare sites within the assigned network; matrix accountability to the System Vice President of Facilities & Construction and the Chief Executive for the network; provide management oversight to managers in Maintenance across sites.
- Security and Public Safety: direct and oversee Security and Public Safety within the network; develop and implement long- and short-term strategies and plans.
- Environment of Care and Facility compliance: oversee operational activities for Environment of Care and Emergency Management; develop procedures, monitor effectiveness, and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe environment for caregivers, patients and visitors.
- Ensure quality and performance improvement activities meet target conditions and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards; remain continuously ready for surveys.
- Bachelor's Degree
Required:
Building Construction or Facilities Operations or related field. - Preference given to candidates with an advanced degree in facility management, construction or engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of facility management experience within the healthcare industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Successful oversight of multiple healthcare facility sites.

Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager - Preferred:
Certified Professional in Patient Safety
- Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability (Required).
- Knowledge of facilities, safety and security codes, security applications, and current issues related to employee safety regulations and regulatory compliance (Required).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to present data and plans effectively to diverse audiences (Required).
- Understanding of HIPAA and safety and security regulations; ability to liaise with city, state, county and federal officials (Required).
- Ability to cultivate relationships and partnerships across all levels of the organization (Required).
- Ability to be flexible, approachable and inspire trust (Required).
- Ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic environment (Required).
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions (Required).
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Required).
- Lifting:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally; sedentary work. - Environment:
