Maintenance Technician

Pay Range

$28.00 – $45.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill demonstrated (Salaried option possible for the right person)

Full-Time, Monday-Friday (40 hours/week), Weekend availability preferred

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a maintenance team that supports 13 McDonald’s restaurants in the Vancouver, WA area (Clark County, w/2 locations in Cowlitz County).

The work is mainly reactive repairs, with time for preventative maintenance when possible. This is a stable, long-term position with regular hours, local travel only and freedom to plan your day.

• Troubleshoot and repair restaurant equipment, including:
  • Grills, fryers, ovens and UHCs
  • Beverage equipment and ice cream machines
  • Rooftop equipment (exhaust fans, HVAC systems, MAC units)
• Respond to occasional after-hours emergency repairs (rare, but flexibility is required)
• Review maintenance tickets, prioritize work, and close jobs when complete
• Communicate clearly with restaurant teams
• Use ladders and access rooftops when needed
• Maintain a professional appearance in restaurant environments

• Restaurant or QSR maintenance experience required
• McDonald’s experience strongly preferred
• Able to work independently and manage multiple repairs
• 3 years of experience preferred, but flexible based on skill level
• Comfortable working around hot equipment and grease
• Able to climb ladders and work on rooftops
• Heavy lifting is rare (few times a year)

• Refrigeration (EPA) certification
• Electrical experience or certification
• Experience with:
  Taylor, Garland, Carpigiani, Multiplex BIC, Frymaster, Henny Penny
• Floor tile or FRP repair
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Creative problem-solving
• Bilingual English/Spanish

• Tools provided
• $300 per month vehicle allowance (for wear and tear)

This position starts hourly. A technician who shows strong skills, reliability, and leadership may have the opportunity to move into a salaried role with additional responsibility managing maintenance operations.
