Peace Health is seeking a Senior HR Advisor for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position in Vancouver, WA…

This role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring regular onsite presence each week along with designated remote workdays.

The Sr HR Advisor acts as a subject matter expert to interpret and apply state and federal laws, Peace Health policies, department standard operating procedures, employee/labor relations matters, including those of significant complexity, union contracts, benefits, compensation, payroll, employment, performance management & learning, leaves, employee health, clinical licensure, and employee records. Responds to the inquiries directed to the HR Service Center;

supports caregivers and leaders in resolving initial and escalated inquiries. May lead or participate in projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Consults with HR Manager and HR Consultants regarding inquiries on a variety of employment issues including performance management, policy interpretation and administration, HR processes, compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee and labor relations.
  • Case manages initial and escalated AskHR inquiries via telephone and electronic means, interfacing with internal and external resources to furnish or obtain needed information. Researches issues, gathers support information, solicits input from necessary knowledge experts and provides quality resolution within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Oversees HR Service Center department staffing schedule and balance of workload. Responsible for maintaining standard workflows and processes that maximize performance and outcomes.
  • Handles more complex and/or sensitive inquiries, including supporting tier 1 employee relations investigations.
  • Submits action and update requests to ensure data accuracy and to maintain a high level of data integrity in the HR system.
  • Collaborates and partners with HR Consultants, stakeholders and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to resolve specific issues requiring focused resolution.
  • Educates caregivers on self-service tools and technology. Refers caregivers to Peace Health’s or other vendors (i.e. benefits, leave of absence, retirement etc.) as appropriate.
  • Compiles and reports on HR-related metrics. Working with leaders and HR stakeholders, monitors, enters, analyzes, and communicates data relating to missing and expired credentials, offboarding, corrective actions, and other purposes.
  • Provides mentoring and training for team members. Provides feedback on staff performance and assists with goal setting for the team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's Degree required:
      Human Resources or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 3 years required:
      Human Resources experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.

    CREDENTIALS

    • Preferred:
      Certified Professional Human Resources

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, federal and state laws with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
    • Ability to analyze information gathered by investigation, and concisely report findings and recommendations.
    • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to organize workload to ensure that time frames are met, and the work is successfully completed within deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Data entry and analytical skills.
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office application.
    • Proficient in the use of a major HRIS solution and case management system. (Preferred)

    The salary range for this job opening at Peace Health is $72,259 – $100,409
    . The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, seniority, etc.
