Overview

Our clinic is looking for a Mental Health Therapist with at least 5 years of experience post-master's, dedicated to providing therapeutic services as part of a Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team. This is a W-2 position. The ideal candidate is fully licensed as an LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT and has experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and couples, with training in or interest in EMDR Therapy, and an interest in working with First Responders.

Ideally, the candidate is an Approved Clinical Supervisor or has an interest in becoming one. The position supports taking over a full-time caseload (20-25 per week) and collaborating with other disciplines to provide high-quality care. The organization offers a non-competitive culture, balanced work schedules, in-house service benefits, PTO, competitive wages, and in-house consultation + supervision. Start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance is preferred, with wage increases based on caseload.

Our goal is to provide the best possible care to clients and to nurture the health of our staff.

Responsibilities
  • Interest and ability to take over a full-time caseload (20-25 per week with potential to grow if desired).
  • Excited to be part of a team and collaborate with team members from different disciplines on behalf of patients.
  • Must have excellent and compassionate communication and professionalism.
  • Competency in working with Trauma and trained in or interested in EMDR therapy. Priority and higher starting wages will be given to those who have completed basic training and/or certification in EMDR.
  • Priority and higher wages given to those who are already an Approved Clinical Supervisor in WA State, with an interest in supervising associates and intern therapists.
  • Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Evaluate patients’ circumstances on a regular basis and provide necessary follow-up care.
Qualifications
  • Must have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or Social Work and an active license to practice counseling in WA State (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT — we are not accepting Associates at this time).
  • We are looking for candidates who do not want to maintain a private practice while working on our team, and who would like to grow to full-time with us and work with our team for at least 5 years.
  • Must be comfortable with working in a private pay/out-of-network environment, and serving our local first responders in-network on one insurance panel.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Priority given to those with additional training and certifications in couples counseling.
