We feature innovations in joint replacement, robotic surgery, pelvic health for women, cancer care, intensive care for newborns, neurosurgery, medical care for children and more.

Responsibilities
  • Decontamination, preparation, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, trays, equipment, and case carts used in medical and surgical patient care.
  • Distribute flexible scopes, biopsy instruments, traveling video carts, and other supplies and equipment used in endoscopic patient care.
  • Assist with the set-up, changeover, and stocking of procedure rooms.
  • Ensure instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated for safe handling.
  • Assemble and package instruments for sterilization according to procedure.
  • Monitor sterilization and processing equipment for proper functioning and maintain required documentation records.
  • Operate computer systems properly and safely.
  • Assemble case carts, house-wide procedure carts, and instrument drawers accurately and timely to ensure availability for surgery.
  • Respond to routine and non-routine requests for materials, supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Record and maintain department quality-management indicators.
  • Promote professional growth and development of self and others.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Central Service operations course or equivalent experience in Central Sterile preferred.
  • Skills:

    Understanding of the principles and methods of sterilization; infection control and good aseptic techniques; importance of documentation; thorough knowledge of instruments and scopes; excellent verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette; keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Compensation

Pay Range: USD $21.88 - USD $31.27 /Hr.
