Auditorium/Facility Coordinator 1

2.72 hours per day, 9 months per year

Temporarily funded through the  school year

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of substantive leadership experience in working and managing all aspects of on-stage activities with all user groups in the community setting, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Professional experience in technical theatre, stage management and design required.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Ability to build effective teams with administrators, teachers and students.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and marketing skills.
  • Adept at the use and application of technology in a dynamic and multi-functional setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of changing and often time shifting priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible working schedule to meet the needs of theatre and production events.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move moderately sized objects up to 50 pounds
  • Regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements
  • Ability to read and handle large quantities of paperwork.
  • Ability to move around the office and transportation complex in order to deal with emergencies.

A person in this classification may do any or all of the following tasks for assigned school and community:

  • Establish and maintain partnerships between the school district, building, community, and local businesses to enhance community participation to promote the use of district facilities and to support the district’s/building’s technical production programs.
  • Manage all aspects of on – stage productions, including coordinating technical production needs for both internal and community users.
  • Supervise the lighting, audio and other technical coordination required for user production(s).
  • Plan and coordinate crew responsible for all stage activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate (orally and in-person) with production director(s) in identifying facility spacing and equipment specifications for all building events.
  • Supervise the use of all stage and theatre equipment and serves in the lead role to ensure that use of facility meets district guidelines for efficient and safe use and operation of the facility equipment.
  • Supervise assembly, disassembly and overall operation of all facility events.
  • Serve as building liaison to facility user groups.

It is understood that the district has the right to transfer and assign employees to best fit the needs of the district.
