7 Hours Per Day (7:25 a.m.

- 2:55 p.m. includes 30 minute unpaid lunch)

190 Days Per Year

A valid First Aid/CPR card must be submitted to Classified Personnel within 45 days of hire. Only courses with a "hands-on" component taught by a certified instructor are acceptable.

This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 03/06/26.

Salary Placement:
New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Under the supervision of the College, Career & Technical Education Instructor, the College, Career & Technical Education Nursing Para educator will assist in the supervision of instructional activities in the Nursing classes. The Para educator will work closely with students in individual groups as well as in small group settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist the College, Career & Technical instructor in supervising and working with students as follows:

* Communicate effectively with students and staff.

* Assist in providing one-to-one and group instruction to students so as to meet course outcomes.

* Assist in establishing and maintaining a learning environment as specified by course goals and curriculum outcomes.

* Assist in evaluating and specifying direction of instruction so as to maximize each student's potential.

* Keep accurate data on student progress & maintain student files.
