Description

Newly opened Fellowship trained Breast Surgeon opportunity at Peace Health Southwest Medical Center. The vision at our 450‑bed Level II trauma center is aligned with the Peace Health Difference and our commitment to providing quality care in Vancouver, WA.

Qualifications
  • MD/DO from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Completion of ACGME‑accredited internship/residency program in the area of specialty.
Experience
  • Computer experience.
Credentials
  • Licensed to practice as a physician in the state; board certified or board eligible.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration federal number.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical management of patients (required).
  • Maintains current knowledge and skills through continuing education (required).
  • Meets all training requirements for the specific department (required).
  • Able to work varied hours; rigorous on‑call and call‑back schedule (required).
  • Must not be a practitioner excluded from participation in the Medicare or Medicaid program (required).
Working Conditions
  • Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without assistive equipment (NIOSH).
  • Fine motor skills to control medical equipment and perform precise procedures.
  • Hands‑on CPR: at least 20 minutes using 100‑125 lbs of force; frequency should be seldom or occasionally.
  • Ability to move around the area with frequent sitting.
  • Bending/ stooping / reaching occasionally.
  • Lifting (non‑patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently.
Environmental Conditions
  • Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
  • Time spent on site in a medical/hospital setting.
Mental/Visual
  • Vision and hearing within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
