We are seeking an individual with strong communication skills who is high-energy, self-directed, and excited about learning our industry to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program at our locations in Southfield, MI;
Mount Prospect, IL;
Chesterfield, MO;
Kansas City, MO;
Rogers, MN; and Vancouver, WA. This internship is designed to give you hands-on exposure to the ingredient commodities industry. Interns will work alongside experienced Commodity Specialists, learning how to source ingredients from suppliers, sell to customers, and support logistics to ensure smooth transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in business, sales, supply chain management, agriculture, or commodity markets to explore a career in a unique and dynamic industry through our project-driven internship program.

Job Responsibilities- Support the Commodity Specialist team in sourcing and selling ingredients across the feed, food, and other industries.
- Assist with customer and supplier account management, including research, outreach, and follow-up.
- Learn to analyze market trends and pricing data to guide strategic decisions in commodity markets.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to help coordinate transportation and ensure timely delivery.
- Gain exposure to contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and compliance processes.
- Participate in project-based work (see sample project outline) to deepen your industry knowledge.
- Engage in on-the-job learning and mentorship from experienced traders.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, marketing, sales, supply chain, economics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in business, sales, trading, and/or the agricultural or food industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High energy, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to travel within the US, if necessary.
