Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership, accountants, and clients to deliver high-quality accounting services. The position combines hands‑on accounting work, client advisory support, and review responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Qualifications Required- 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or a similar environment
- Advanced proficiency in Quick Books Online
- Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience reviewing accounting work and maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Teams
- Experience with Quick Books Desktop to Quick Books Online migrations
- Experience with payroll accounting
- Maintain and manage client books in Quick Books Online
- Review Quick Books files for accurate coding, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction completeness
- Perform accounting clean‑ups and catch‑up work for clients with incomplete records
- Classify transactions and complete monthly reconciliations for bank, credit card, and liability accounts
- Tie out payroll liabilities and payroll‑related expenses
- Perform Quick Books Desktop to Quick Books Online conversions when required
- Prepare monthly financial statement packages including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports
- Deliver financial reports to clients and explain key results
Conduct regular client check‑in meetings to review financial performance and answer questions - Complete year‑end work papers and prepare adjusting journal entries
- Review work prepared by accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Provide feedback and guidance to team members
- Troubleshoot Quick Books issues for clients and internal staff
- Client Communication & Project Management
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding documentation and financial matters
- Maintain timely responses to client communications
- Manage tasks, deadlines, and workflows using firm systems and tools
- Salary range $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
