Columbia Int’l Forest Products Inc is seeking an Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant/ Bookkeeper to join our company. In this role, you will support the Financial Controller & Owners by managing financial data entry, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various bookkeeping tasks and special projects. Your contribution will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, helping our organization maintain compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare weekly A/R report & A/P Planning.
  • Reconcile bank account balance and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly, monitor credit line.
  • Make Deposits, perform data entry for A/R, A/P, and general ledger transactions using accounting software Quick Books Online & Cie Trade.
  • Credit card receipt entry, reconciliation and management for IRS compliance.
  • Account reconciliation for various ledgers including bank statements, credit card accounts, and vendor statements.
  • Maintain organized records of financial documents & vendor/customers files, including credit responsibilities.
  • Maintain & update FSC Certified Order file & assist with annual audit.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax filings as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting & software preferably Quick Books Online.

  • Understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries.
  • Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet account analysis accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent data entry skills with Intermediate level experience using Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel (will be tested), and 10 key touch.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Part-time 24 hours per week, Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday
