Job DescriptionAir Canada is presently looking for dynamic individuals to fill the full‑time position of Aircraft Technician at our Vancouver Maintenance Centre.
The position is located near Vancouver International Airport, Richmond. The salary will be based on experience and according to the Collective Agreement.
Responsibilities- Ability to use the correct tools, methods, techniques and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and proficiency with computers and diagnostic tools.
- Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, maintaining a customer‑focused attitude in a demanding, high‑stress environment.
- Ability to work independently, using resources via phone and computer; being self‑motivated and confident is an asset.

- High School diploma.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program, and/or at least two years of industry‑related experience.
- Possession of a Transport Canada AME‑E license (Mandatory).
- Possession of a valid driver's license (Mandatory).
- Successfully passing the pre‑employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check.
- Availability to work night, evenings, days, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (Mandatory).
- Possession of a restricted radio operators permit (aviation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location; refer to Transport Canada site for details.
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast‑paced environment. Air Canada medical standards must be met in order to qualify for the role.
- Candidate must undergo a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and be expected to be free of any intoxicating substances.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada at the time any offer of employment is made and willing to obtain any required work permits/visas; this is the sole responsibility of the candidate applying for this position. Selection will be made in accordance with Letter of Understanding 13 of the current Collective Agreement.
- Endorsements on Air Canada aircraft type.
- Current security clearance.
