Assistant Driver; Swamper

Overview

In this role, the Employee shall assist drivers in the safe, secure, and efficient delivery of goods.

• Assisting in the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
• Verifying shipment details and ensuring goods match accompanying documentation.
• Supporting the driver with navigation, route planning, and customer coordination.
• Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
• Assisting with vehicle checks and cleanliness under the supervision of the Driver.
• Complying with all safety protocols, customer site policies, and Company procedures.
• Reporting incidents, delays, or discrepancies to dispatch or management immediately.
• Demonstrating professional conduct with customers and team members at all times.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or regional equivalent).
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Strong communication skills; ability to follow instructions and adapt.
• Experience in delivery or logistics preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and team-oriented.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends if necessary.

• Base Rate: $18.00 per hour.
• Special Rate: $180.00 per day if skilled in appliance delivery and installation (e.g., washers, dryers, fridges, etc.), based on proven experience and proficiency.
