As Senior Engineering Manager for FC QVE, you will lead quality engineering team embedded within the EA SPORTS FC franchise. You will redefine how you build, and sustain software quality across one of the world's largest sports titles.
We are looking for a leader who operates with urgency, dives deep into systems, and refuses to accept mediocrity. You will manage outcomes end-to-end — from technical architecture to talent density — and build mechanisms that scale.
You report to the TD2 of FC QVE and serve as a force multiplier across the franchise.

- Lead an embedded engineering team delivering scalable, production-grade quality platforms.
- Manage delivery of large-scale projects with measurable outcomes.
- Reduce defect escape, shorten feedback loops, and improve release confidence.
- Guide execution & discipline, planning, prioritisation, and removing blockers.
- Translate quality strategy into concrete technical requirements and executable plans.
- Build a milestone-aligned roadmap with explicit delivery commitments.
- Guide requirement gathering and definition across game areas.
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership in architecture, design, and implementation.
- Integrate Generative AI, ML, and cloud technologies into automated testing platforms.
- Ensure operational excellency where systems are scalable, durable, and maintainable.
- Eliminate technical debt through deliberate, scalable solutions.
- Hire and develop engineers who operate with extreme ownership.
- Create a culture of accountability, learning and deep technical thoughtfulness.
- Coach engineers to think in systems, automate, and solve causes.
- Align Development, QV, and Production leaders around priorities and trade‑offs.
- Operate in high‑velocity environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex systems.
- 5+ years leading engineering teams with direct accountability for large‑scale delivery.
- Hands‑on expertise in software architecture and scalable system design.
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience with React, Node.js, or Vue.js
- Cloud‑native architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark
- Experience delivering AI/ML‑enabled systems in production.
- Game development experience and production pipeline knowledge.
- You take ownership of outcomes — not just activity.
- You excel at turning direction into execution.
- You hold a high bar and build teams that meet it.
- You dive deep into technical details without losing delivery focus.
- You think long‑term while delivering incrementally.
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAYRANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$138,700 - $199,900 CAD
