As a Frontend Developer at Rudiment, you'll be responsible for creating intuitive, accessible, and performant user interfaces for our research platforms and clinical applications. You'll work closely with designers, data scientists, and backend developers to translate complex cancer research data into understandable and actionable visualizations and interfaces.
Your work will directly impact how researchers and healthcare providers interact with our AI-powered tools, enabling them to make better decisions and ultimately improve cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment. Key Responsibilities Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using React and Next.js
Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX designs and ensure a consistent visual language across our applications
Work with data scientists and backend developers to integrate APIs and display complex cancer research data in intuitive ways
Create interactive data visualizations that help researchers and clinicians understand complex datasets
Build reusable components and libraries to maintain consistency across our applications
Implement state management solutions to handle complex application states
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's technical growth
Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience in frontend development with React
Experience with Next.js or similar React frameworks
Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, ESLint, Prettier)
Experience with UI component libraries and CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Chakra UI, Material-UI)
Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively within a distributed team
Preferred
Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Jotai, etc.)
Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, Recharts, etc.)
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation practices
Understanding of performance optimization techniques for React applications
Experience working in healthcare or research-oriented applications
Familiarity with Graph
QL and related tools (Apollo, Relay, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD workflows and deployment strategies
