the Team

Flowise is Workday’s newly acquired open source visual builder for AI agents and workflows. Our mission is to make it simple for anyone to build powerful AI driven solutions without needing deep expertise in machine learning or complex frameworks.

Flowise powers chatbots, autonomous agents, and custom AI workflows through an intuitive low code canvas. With Workday, we are expanding Flowise into a multi‑edition platform open source, cloud enterprise, and a deeply integrated Workday Extend version enabling customers and partners to build faster, innovate more, and deliver value quickly and responsibly.

This is an opportunity to join the foundational engineering team shaping the future of Flowise inside Workday.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building products end to end and solving hard technical problems. You will be a key contributor to the Flowise platform, working across the frontend, backend, and supporting infrastructure to deliver customer facing features and core platform capabilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and build full stack features for the Flowise platform using Type Script, Node.js, React, Postgre

    SQL, and modern cloud tooling.

  • Shape the evolution
    of Flowise across our open source, cloud, and Workday‑integrated editions, helping define architecture and user experience.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across Workday to translate ideas into high quality, intuitive solutions.

  • Contribute to code quality through thoughtful design, testing, documentation, and code reviews.

  • Troubleshoot and solve complex technical challenges, working through ambiguity with a product first mindset.

  • Contribute to our public Flowise open source repository as part of your day to day work.

This is a fast moving environment with a startup feel, you will have high ownership, room for creativity, and the opportunity to influence architecture from the ground up.

About You Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • 2+ years of hands on experience with JavaScript/Type Script, Node.js , and React.

  • Experience with
    PostgreSQL or another relational database, with solid understanding of data modeling.

Other Qualifications

  • Strong full stack development skills with experience building frontend and backend systems.

  • Interest or experience in open source development or contributing to community projects.

  • Ability to work effectively in fast paced, cross functional teams.

  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Strong problem solving abilities and comfort navigating ambiguity.

  • Familiarity with modern Dev Ops practices: automated testing, CI/CD, observability, Docker, etc.

  • Bonus: experience with LLM frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Agent

    SDK, etc.), monorepo environments, and plugin-based architectures.
