Description & RequirementsThe EA SPORTS Catalyst Research & Innovation Team pioneers research that propels the gaming industry forward, integrating cutting‑edge technology to redefine gaming experiences. As a Machine Learning Engineer reporting to the Director of Technology, you will build frameworks and tools that support our research strategy and innovation roadmap, working closely with researchers to streamline experiments, build prototypes, and bring discoveries from concept to reality.
Responsibilities- Implement the technical strategy to support our research roadmap and explore frontier technologies for Sports Gaming.
- Collaborate with the research team to support experiments with tooling and platforms, including data acquisition and management.
- Facilitate the sharing of results through prototypes and compelling interactive demonstrations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and propose impactful projects that inspire creativity.
- Partner with game teams to understand their technical needs and scale and integrate new discoveries.
- Work with a diverse set of partners—research, engineering, and game development—to drive innovation.
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical background with experience in research engineering and game development.
- 3+ years of experience with AI/ML, tools, platforms, and applications in gaming.
- Proven track record of turning new ideas into effective implementations.
Pay ranges are set by location and role. The roles in British Columbia include comprehensive benefits such as vacation, paid sick time, health/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, and potential bonus and equity.
