Tools Software EngineerThe NHL Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) is seeking a Tools Engineer to join a diverse team of engineers, designers, content creators, and analysts. You will design and implement tools for HUT’s development and live service, supporting millions of players.
Your Responsibilities- Collaborate with Content Producers, Designers, Testers and other Software Engineers to develop business applications (tools) essential to their workflow, using modern web technologies.
- Design and build a tools solution with scalability, performance, security, and usability in mind.
- Provide technical documentation and user guide for each tool, and work with users to onboard them during rollout.
- Create and maintain the deployment pipeline for the tools.
- 3+ years of experience developing and launching web applications, with a strong focus on UX/UI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Type Script and experience in object‑oriented design and implementation.
- Knowledge of Node.js, web frameworks and Web Sockets.
- Knowledge of Git Lab and Docker.
- Knowledge of Python, C#, and HTML.
- Knowledge of modern database technologies.
- Knowledge of good software programming practices.
- Experience with C++ is a plus.
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES- British Columbia (e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $83,000 – $116,400 CAD
In British Columbia we offer a package of benefits including 3 weeks vacation to start, 10 days sick time per year, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
