Work Locations:
Various locations in Lower Mainland.

Job Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements.
Calculate measurements and materials needed based on technical documents.
Prepare accurate layouts in conformance with building codes using various measuring tools.
Plan and organize work areas and materials for efficient workflow.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Fit and install trim items, including doors, stairs, moulding, and hardware.
Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
Assess and fix structural damage or wear.

Working Conditions:

Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.
Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
Repetitive task.
Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
