Field Service Technician

We are looking for an independent, organized, field-focused Field Service Technician based in Kelowna who will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on our customers' machines, diagnose breakdowns, and ensure fast service to minimize downtime. The role involves varied travel, technical challenges, and opportunities to contribute to a committed team.

Job Description

Your role:
Reporting to the Regional Director (Western Region), the field service technician installs, services, and maintains TOMRA automated recovery systems at customer sites. You also promote and sell certain related products.

Challenges
  • Check operation of equipment and machines, perform tests, and determine cause of breakdowns.
  • Repair equipment or perform preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure company represented well to customers.
  • Perform all steps of a service call.
Qualifications
  • College diploma in electronics, electromechanics, or equivalent.
  • Technical and practical knowledge of mechanics, electronics, electrics, and programming automated systems (considered an asset).
  • Ability to maintain parts inventory in a service truck.
  • Ability to work with an automated service call management system.
  • Organized, autonomous, responsible, and flexible.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to provide a high level of service.
