Security Guard - Secret Clearance

Overview

Commissionaires BC is hiring for security professionals to work at a high security government site in downtown Vancouver.

• Monday to Friday - 9am to 3pm, 4pm to 12am, 12am to 8am
• Monday to Wednesday - 7am to 7pm
• Thursday to Saturday - 7am to 7pm
• Sat & Sun - 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 12am, 12am to 8am

• From $23.22 per hour

Due to the nature of the site, you will be required to obtain a Secret Clearance from the Canadian Government.

• Valid BC Security License
• Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 years
  • Able to provide address and employment history for the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps
  • Hold Canadian citizenship or PR
• Basic First Aid / OFA 1
• Excellent English oral and written skills
• Strong administrative skills

• Provide first class customer service to contractors and clients whilst based at front desk
• Access control
• Contractor escorting
• Interior patrols
• First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
• Follow specific emergency and alarm response protocols

• Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
• Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
• Strong administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
