We are seeking an experienced Site Security Supervisor for a dynamic site in downtown Vancouver. In this role, you will be responsible for the supervision and direction of assigned Security Officers, training and orientation of new Officers, ensuring daily reports are submitted accurately, and supporting in scheduling. Our team at this site regularly deals with the members of the general public, helping with wayfinding, providing first aid, de-escalating conflict situations, evicting trespassers, and much more, in addition to regular patrols, surveillance, documentation, and lockups.
This position is expected to be temporary for 6-months, with a potential extension or transition to permanent.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, hrs
Status: Temporary Full-Time
Requirements:
Minimum 1-year of work experience in the security industry, preferably at a large complex siteMinimum 1-year of supervisory, leadership, or management experienceValid BC Security LicenseExcellent customer service, leadership, professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situationsPhysical ability to complete the duties of the role, including walking up to 20km per shift, up and down stairs, or over uneven ground, indoors, outdoors, and in parkadesExceptional professional deportmentResponsibilities:
Supervise the Security staff assigned to the site, act as a resource for all security issues, and ensure adherence to all guidelines and standardsMaintain and enforce all Paladin and Client policies and procedures on site and ensure the highest standard of our security program on siteEnsure all reports are completed with Track Tik reporting software, and each Officer submits complete and accurate daily reports and incident reports; follow up with inaccuracies or omissionsReview and approve all site Incident Reports and escalate incidents as requiredLiaise with internal and external stakeholders while representing both the client and Paladin Security with the utmost professionalismConduct investigations and perform appropriate follow-ups when incidents and situations occurAssist in site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training periodPerform other duties as needed to meet operational demands
