Wall Centre Hotels is looking for a dynamic individual to join our exceptional team. As a proven driver in sales, you have the ability to uncover new business opportunities through prospecting, client interaction, travel and trade shows. This role requires a positive demeaner and a self-motivated yet team-centric spirit. As part of our team, you will drive group business into our hotels through sales interaction, your current client list, events as well as using Marriott systems and Global, Account and National Sales Offices.

The hallmark of this position is uncovering new opportunities and closing these opportunities in the United States of America market. To be an ambassador for our hotels while playing a role in key membership organizations such as MPI, PCMA and SITE

Responsibilities

& Qualifications

What your day will look like:

  • A strong ability to manage sales activities in a defined market / geographical area.
  • Develop a sales strategy and close United States of America related business
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet / exceed goals, grow partnerships and client loyalty.
  • Prepare detailed communication and correspondence with customers through the sales process.
  • Ability to set up and execute sales presentations and sales calls
  • Prepare internal booking reports and ongoing up to date file maintenance
  • Participate in Sales meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related functions as required.
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales and Director of Group Sales to develop sales strategies to improve market share.
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.
  • Work with other departments within the hotel to provide above quality service to our clients and customers.
  • Professionally represent the hotel at trade shows, Marriott & community events, FAM trips and industry meetings
  • Maintain relationships with local stakeholders, Destination Vancouver, Vancouver Convention Centre, Destination Canada, Sport Hosting, DMCs,…
