Business Development Manager (BDM) – Cannabis Retail | TechPOS USA
TechPOS — one of the most trusted cannabis-native retail platforms in North America — is expanding into the United States, and we are hiring a high-performing Business Development Manager (BDM) / Account Executive to drive new sales across the cannabis retail industry.
This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who has sold POS systems or retail technology directly to cannabis dispensaries
, adult‑use marijuana stores, hemp shops, vape retailers, or MSOs. You will be responsible for generating new business, building strong industry relationships, and representing TechPOS at events, trade shows, and in‑person store visits.

, and we are now scaling aggressively throughout the USA—starting with California.
- Sell the full TechPOS product suite (POS, E‑Commerce, Digital Signage, Self‑Checkout, ESLs, AI Modules, Loyalty, etc.) to cannabis retailers.
- Conduct prospecting, store visits, demos, presentations, and close deals end‑to‑end.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline in Hub Spot CRM with accurate forecasting.
- Attend cannabis events, expos, and industry meetups; travel regularly for client acquisition.
- Develop strong relationships with dispensary owners, retail managers, consultants, and MSOs.
- Support lead generation by promoting TechPOS across Linked In and other channels.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Provide weekly territory reports, competitive insights, and feedback to leadership.
- Act as a strategic partner to clients—consulting on retail operations, inventory health, compliance, and business optimization.
- 3+ years of sales experience selling POS systems, SaaS, fintech, or retail technology.
- Direct experience selling to cannabis dispensaries, adult‑use marijuana, hemp, or vape retailers.
- Strong understanding of cannabis retail workflows, compliance, METRC
, and product categories. - Proven record of achieving quotas and closing deals in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with Hub Spot or another CRM platform.
- Comfortable traveling frequently for store visits, demos, and trade shows.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to operate independently while meeting corporate goals.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to travel within the U.S.
- Existing cannabis retail relationships in California or other legal states.
- Strong Linked In presence or experience with social selling.
- Knowledge of retail operations, staffing, merchandising, and compliance processes.
- Experience selling enterprise SaaS or multi‑location retail technology.
- Ability to commit to and consistently meet defined monthly revenue targets.
