User Experience Health Researcher

Key responsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with designers, product managers, and executives to determine research needs and timelines.
Plan research: Create research plans using appropriate quantitative/qualitative methods and participants to uncover actionable customer insights.
Prioritize opportunities: Work with UXR team and stakeholders to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Primary research: Independently conduct research, using methods such as interviews, surveys, usability tests, and web analytics, to explore user behaviors and pain points.
Analyze data: Analyze and synthesize user data, including data from production systems, to uncover actionable insights and make product design/strategy recommendations.
Socialize insights: Actively socialize research findings to diverse audiences, including executives, to guide product design and strategy decisions.
EducationBachelor's or graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, business and marketing, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
Knowledge and competencies- Best practices for user-centric design and UX/HCI research.
- Experience in product and market research
- Deeply understands the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, to effectively inform and guide others.
- Able to skillfully analyze a variety of quantitative data (e.g., from surveys, A|B testing, usage tracking).
- Able to work flexibly and efficiently, balancing time constraints, various priorities, and rigorous research to move quickly from planning to completing a project.
- Able to collaborate well with colleagues from different teams and cultures.
- Natural tendency to proactively look for ways to improve products/processes, take initiative, and deliver results.
- Innate curiosity about people and desire to improve their experience with our products.
- 5+ years of full-time work experience planning and conducting primary User and Market research in industry (e.g., consulting company, tech company, digital design agency).
- Experience with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Experience creating a variety of research deliverables and artifacts, such as slide decks, videos, infographics, and journey maps.
- Experience conducting user-centered research in the medtech or healthcare industry.
- Bonus points:
Research experience in an enterprise software, mobile, global and/or SaaS company.
