Dr. Connor Kerns, in collaboration with Dr. Daniela Palombo and Dr. Jim Enns, Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, is seeking to hire a part-time (50%) research associate to serve as lead coordinator and analyst of a study focused on social cognition, particularly socio-emotional attention and memory processes, autism spectrum disorder, and mental health in young adults.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in cognitive psychology or related field.
  • Postdoctoral experience in social and cognitive research.
  • Extensive experience (4+ years) in designing, implementing, analyzing, and translating experimental memory, as well as eye tracking technology with a particular focus on memory and social cognition.
  • Experience with multi-level analytical models is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Psychopy, Matlab, R, E-Prime, and Tobii eye tracking systems.
  • The anticipated start date is July 1, 2023. The position is for a 1-year term, renewable annually based on performance and contingent on available research grant support to the collaborators.
