You Bring

Education:

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • If the applicant does not possess the required qualifications, PHC will fund Post-Basic Education.
  • Funding will consist of 100% for tuition and books; and wages at rate of 100% of posted FTE.
  • The length of the Post-Basic Education is approximate. Eligibility for Post-Basic Education is restricted to applicant(s) with a minimum of 1-2 year medical/surgical experience (2 years preferred) and who have not received Post-Basic Education Funding from PHC for the past 2 years. Applicant must successfully complete the Post-Basic Education prior to working in the Department.

  • Conduct thorough patient/resident assessments through chart reviews, observations, interviews, and collaboration withpeers
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices, prioritizing patient/resident needs
  • Adhere toestablishedpolicies, procedures, and PHC standards while providing high-quality nursing care
