Responsibilities- Analyze project proposals during calls for proposals, providing recommendations on eligibility, risk, and required clarifications
- Conduct due diligence, negotiate budgets and terms, and prepare contribution agreements for recommended projects
- Manage a portfolio of projects (including direct service, capital, and data coordination initiatives) and monitor progress toward expected outcomes
- Ensure timely submission of project reporting and conduct project monitoring to support results and fiscal accountability
- Identify and escalate issues as needed to fulfill contractual obligations to federal partners and ensure program delivery of community‑level outcomes
- Maintain strong relationships with project partners and stakeholders to enable project success
- Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements for the program
- Stay informed on housing and homelessness issues and offer guidance to partners on results‑based planning, financial reporting, and program implementation
- Participate in in‑person consultations, stakeholder engagement, and sectoral collaboration opportunities
- Contribute to team meetings, internal knowledge sharing, and continuous learning
- Advocate for equity‑denied populations and apply decolonizing practices in your work
- Perform other related duties as required
- A diploma or degree in sociology, psychology, social work, public policy, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in non‑profit, housing, or community‑based programs
- Experience with calls for proposals or grant administration, preferably from a funder or contract management perspective
- Knowledge of Housing First principles, homelessness prevention, and mental health/addictions support systems
- Familiarity with the housing development process (e.g., pre‑development, zoning, construction) is an asset
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel and tools such as Survey Monkey, SPSS, or Grant Lifecycle Management software
- Excellent time management and project coordination skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines in dynamic environments
- Experience working within an equity‑focused, anti‑oppressive, and anti‑racist framework
- Comfort with both routine data entry and high‑level decision‑making, as the role involves a mix of administrative and strategic work
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid setting
- Analytical – You assess complex information with care, detect inconsistencies, and bring forward solutions
- Compassionate – You understand the realities of poverty, homelessness, and systemic barriers, and are committed to equitable approaches
- Knowledgeable – You bring a strong understanding of how nonprofits operate and how funding impacts frontline work
- Communicative – You write clearly, speak confidently, and provide thoughtful guidance to both internal teams and external partners
