Flowing out of the mission of Jesus, Greater Vancouver Youth Unlimited relationally engages in holistic work (physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual) with vulnerable youth in partnership with the church and the community. General DescriptionAs Program Coordinator, you would be working 16 hours a week, based out of our Central Office in Surrey or our Vancouver office, and are involved in all parts of the Elevation Project. The EP Program Coordinator facilitates data management and communication around the sponsorship program. The EP Program Coordinator is actively involved in the planning, strategizing and promotion of the Elevation Project.
Other responsibilities include the logistical and practical support of trip teams, social media management and sponsorship development. You will be involved in regular meetings with our partners at YFC Rwanda and develop a deep understanding of the ministry and history of our partnership.
- A creative mind and good communication skills, particularly in writing
- A positive attitude, openness for new things, a teachable spirit and willingness to learn
- Microsoft Office applications experience—specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or similar apps
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop), Canva or similar programs
- Social media management experience—specifically Facebook, Instagram and X
- Good planning, organizing and prioritizing skills and can coordinate shifting workloads and activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, sound judgment, integrity, reliability, and team player
- A personal relationship with Jesus
- Working in Central Office (Surrey) or Vancouver Studio (East Van) 2 days/week
- Working in teams as well as individually
- Developing and maintaining relationships with GVYU Staff, YFC Rwanda staff, Program partners, sponsors and trip participants
- Collaborating with other Greater Vancouver staff, volunteers and community partners
- Occasional evening work, weekend work, and extended trips
- Remote work possible
Youth Unlimited salaries are set by our Board of Directors, with frontline salaries at the upper levels of industry standards. Staff also receive strong organizational support, and our average staff retention is over 10 years. As part of this role, you will actively build a team of ministry partners who support your work through prayer and financial giving. This includes raising funds to cover your salary and program expenses.
Training, coaching, and resources are provided to help you succeed in this important aspect of ministry.
$20,000.00 – $22,000.00 per year
